Privacy policy

This policy explains what information BEEST collects when you visit thebeesthoney.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can, hold it for as short as we can, and never sell it.

Who we are

BEEST Honey is a heritage-honey label. For privacy matters, write to hello@thebeesthoney.com. That inbox is monitored by a person; expect a reply within a reasonable working week.

What we collect

Newsletter sign-ups

If you submit the newsletter form, we store your email address and the timestamp of the submission so we can send you the harvest letters you asked for. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot challenge that issues a short-lived token; we do not receive the underlying signals Turnstile uses.

Contact form

If you contact us through the site, we receive the message you wrote and the email address you supplied so we can reply. Nothing else is logged from that form.

Site analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referrers, and rough device classes. It is privacy-first by design: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, and no individual visitor profiles. We see aggregate counts only.

Functional cookies

Two cookies are set on your browser:

• beest_lang — remembers your language choice (English or Georgian) when you toggle it from the nav. One year.
• beest_cookie_consent — records whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner so we don't show it on every visit. One year.

Both are first-party cookies, set only for thebeesthoney.com, used only for the function described, and never read by any third party.

What we do not collect

• No advertising or marketing trackers.
• No social-media pixels (Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
• No cross-site profiling.
• No payment data — the site does not yet take payments.

Where your data lives

The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Newsletter addresses sit in Cloudflare KV (an encrypted key-value store) at the edge. When we connect a dedicated email service provider (ESP) to deliver the letters, we will list it here and update accordingly.

How long we keep things

• Newsletter address — until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
• Contact form messages — kept for 24 months for support history, then deleted.
• Functional cookies — expire after one year, or when you clear them.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — aggregate counts only, retained per Cloudflare's defaults.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you,
• correct it if it's wrong,
• delete it,
• port it elsewhere in a machine-readable form,
• or stop us from processing it.

Email hello@thebeesthoney.com with the request and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the Last updated date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the home page for at least two weeks. Trivial wording fixes get the date bump but no notice.
