Legal
Cookies policy
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to remember. We use two of them,
both first-party (set only for thebeesthoney.com), both functional, and neither
used for advertising or tracking across other sites.
The cookies we set
beest_lang — language preference
Stores en or ka when you toggle the language switch in the nav.
Without it, the site would re-detect your browser's preferred language on every visit and
bounce you to the other locale even when you've already chosen. Lifetime: one year.
beest_cookie_consent — your answer to this banner
Stores accepted or declined after you respond to the cookie banner,
so we don't show it again. Lifetime: one year.
What we do not use
- No third-party advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta, etc.).
- No analytics cookies — Cloudflare Web Analytics, which we do use, is cookie-free.
- No social-media pixels.
- No fingerprinting libraries.
Your choices
You can:
- Decline the banner — we record the decline in
beest_cookie_consentand don't ask again. The two functional cookies above are strictly necessary for the preferences they store; declining does not remove them, but they only fire if you actually use the language toggle or respond to the banner. - Clear cookies in your browser at any time — Settings → Privacy in most browsers. The site will then re-detect your language preference and re-show the banner.
- Block all cookies in your browser — the site will still load and read correctly. The language toggle just won't persist between visits.
Server-side state
The site uses a Cloudflare KV-backed session store for any temporary server-side state (currently unused by the homepage). If a session ID cookie appears in future, it will be listed here.
